A dynamic house in Cesena by tissellistudioarchitetti The revamp of a house in the historical centre of Cesena, Italy has given tissellistudioarchitetti the opportunity to streamline spaces and bring in light with a mindful selection of materials and colours. The designers use bespoke, integrated furnishings to make sure every single part of the apartment can be used.

Filippo Tisselli and Cinzia Mondello from tissellistudioarchitetti took up the challenge of renovating an old apartment in the historical centre of Cesena. The two-level apartment required a bold recovery plan to bring it into line with contemporary living needs: keeping walls to a minimum, bringing in natural light and crafting a dynamic environment.
They knocked down some walls in the entrance area where they have now positioned the kitchen/dining room, living room and guest bathroom, with the bedroom, master bathroom and systems room tucked away upstairs for more privacy.
The linchpin of the architectural work of tissellistudioarchitetti is the skilful use of materials and colours, white and yellow for the walls and light wood for the floors. This combination puts the emphasis on the home's bright, sunny nature.
Added to this are the customised design solutions, like the creation of bespoke storage integrated into the spatial layout of the home's main zones - kitchen/living room and bedroom. Cupboards and closets with doors that are only really obvious when you open them. Items that get your curiosity antennas out, as you can clearly see in the video dedicated to this project.
tissellistudioarchitetti have crafted a friendly, modern home, where the clean lines of the execution match a good dash of creativity, to give a flowing, functional response to the client brief, and even more importantly they have made the most of the available inhabitable area.
