Cultural Initiatives and New Museums in Qatar

Starting 21 November, the 2022 Football World Cup will take place in Qatar. The sports event will be preceded and accompanied throughout the year by important events. In particular, Qatar Museums has announced a wide-ranging programme of cultural initiatives, including the inauguration of the MIA, the Doha Museum of Islamic Art designed by 1983 Pritzker Prize-winning architect Ieoh Ming Pei, and exhibitions on the new museums designed by Elemental, Herzog & de Meuron and OMA.

"Spot On - Women Designers in the Collection" exhibition and Nathalie Du Pasquier at the Vitra 

New works in a feminine key at the Campus Vitra in Weil am Rhein, in Germany. A new work by artist and designer Nathalie Du Pasquier has been installed near the Fire Station designed by Zaha Hadid and, to celebrate the five year anniversary of its inauguration, the Vitra Schaudepot, the building designed by the Herzog & De Meuron studio, is hosting an exhibition dedicated to the role of women in the world of furniture design.
