CPDA Arquitectos’ Jardin Escandón connects architecture with nature

Mexican studio CPDA Arquitectos and the landscape architects of Taller Entorno Paisaje worked on Jardin Escandón, a residential complex built around a central courtyard with a rear patio, so that all the residential units enjoy daylight and cross-ventilation for maximum living comfort in close contact with nature.

The Design Museum inaugurates the Beazley Designs of the Year

BAAQ’ puts its name to a sustainable refit in Mexico City

The Mexican architecture studio BAAQ’ founded by Alfonso Quiñones is behind the refurbishment and conversion of a 1960s building in a neighbourhood where the population density is rising. The project generates inclusive spaces, improves the use of daylight and implements sustainable solutions, including the harvesting of water.

Isaac Broid + PRODUCTORA: Teopanzolco Cultural Centre, Cuernavaca

A new auditorium now stands opposite the Cuernavaca archaeological site. The winners of a competition on invitation, Mexican studios Isaac Broid and PRODUCTORA, built the Teopanzolco Cultural Centre to be an ambitious meeting-place between the town centre and the suburbs.
