The best design restaurants of 2022 according to AIA LA

On 13 September, the awards ceremony for the best design restaurants of 2022 selected by the American Institute of Architects in Los Angeles took place. The award, now in its seventeenth year, is dedicated to restaurants and bars, both outdoor and indoor, created in the last four years anywhere in the world. The competing projects are divided into three main categories plus two special prizes that are decided by the public.

Waiting for WAF 2022 Special Awards Finalists.

In anticipation of the World Architecture Festival (WAF) to be held in Lisbon, November 30-December 2, 2022, the finalist projects for the Special Awards were recently revealed. These are architectural projects that have been shortlisted for the WAF Awards and which stand out in particular for certain features or materials used to make them, in addition to the best small-scale project and two new special awards.

Only one month left to participate in the International Art Prize dedicated to Ceramics

The deadline to register for the first edition of the International Art Prize dedicated to ceramic production sponsored by the Iris Ceramica Group Foundation is nearing. Contestants – divided into two sections, under and over 25 years old – can register and submit their works to participate in the prize contest by September 30.

The finalists for the 2022 RIBA Stirling Prize

The RIBA Stirling Prize is now in its 26th year, and in accordance with the prize's usual calendar, the six finalist projects were recently revealed. From these, the jury will elect the best building in the UK, to be announced on 13 October in London.

Looking forward to the new edition of The Architecture Drawing Prize

The sixth edition of The Architecture Drawing Prize, which this year is sponsored by Iris Ceramica Group with Floornature as European media partner, was presented a few weeks ago. Until 9 September applicants can register to take part in the award that celebrates art and mastery in the representation of architecture. The overall winner of the previous edition was Dafni Filippa's 'Flood Responsive Landscape Performance', a hybrid design combining different rendering techniques.

Kimmel Eshkolot Architects at the Tower of David Museum

Israeli studio Kimmel Eshkolot Architects presents its work on creation of National Memorial Hall on Mount Herzl (2018) in the new exhibition "Designing Memory" which opened a few weeks ago at the Tower of David Museum in Jerusalem. The exhibition also features the work of the finalists for the Dedalo Minosse International Prize, offering a broad overview of important architectural projects by studios all over the world.

The winners of the Premio Biennale di Architettura Federico Maggia 2022

“Caffè Maggia. Ipotesi per un archivio aperto” created by the PRACTICE+ studio with Giacomo Pavanello, is the winning project of the 2022 edition of the Premio Biennale di Architettura Federico Maggia 2022 promoted by Fondazione Sella with the Biella Architects and Engineers Associations for young designers under 30.
