The exhibition by OMA and Rem Koolhaas focuses on the issue of “conservation” in architecture and urban planning. First presented at the 2010 Venice Biennale on the invitation of director Kazuyo Sejima, now enriched with new exhibition material, Cronocaos is at New York?s New Museum until June 5 2011. In this exhibition of historic artefacts and materials from the studio?s archives, never before exhibited in public, architect and OMA founder Rem Koolhaas points out that 12% of the world?s heritage is subject to some form of conservation or protection (natural o cultural) and underlines the need for reflection on giving form to the future of our memory”.
