Events at WDC2014 Cape Town

#WDC2014 Cape Town is trendy in the social media, thanks in part to a packed programme of cultural events involving not only the world of design but the general population.
A variety of events is planned for the month of March, including some intended to improve the everyday lives of people in the city. One of these is “Open Streets”, promoting use of pedestrian streets for leisure time. An experiment with one possible use will be conducted during the “Cape Town Carnival” and the “Cape Town Street Food Festival”.

“Infecting the City” is a public art festival bringing performances, dance, visual arts and music out of the usual theatres and art galleries and into the streets.
An exhibition organised by CPUT and Aalto University in Helsinki entitled “Shaping A Shared World” is open until March 15th. In the meantime, the CTDN Design Dialogues series of discussions with the local design community continues. Floornature.com is an official supporter of the UIA2014 world congress in Durban.
