Michele De Lucchi Zero Pavilion Milan Expo 2015
Architect Michele De Lucchi’s Zero Pavilion, curated by Davide Rampello, will be visitors’ introduction to Expo Milano 2015. The pavilion will reproduce a part of the earth’s crust lifted above floor level to offer visitors an unusual exhibition route: the public will explore the earth's interior in spaces reproducing natural caves and in the near-total absence of light.
Mountains, hills and, in the centre of the area, a "valley of civilisation" representing the system of the Colli Euganei, the direct natural reference for Michele De Lucchi’s plan.
Curator Davide Rampello explained that the zero pavilion offers a thrilling representation of the steps in evolution of the relationship between Humans and Nature, from the domestication of plants and animals to tools for working with and preserving the products of the earth and to the contradictions of today’s diet.
