SWA South West Architecture Looking Up SpazioFMG

During Expo Milano 2015, SpazioFMGperl'Architettura, the gallery and showroom operated by Iris Ceramica and FMG Fabbrica Marmi e Graniti, will be hosting a series of talks with prominent architectural studios.
On June 11 the topic will be the Mexican architecture featured in Hacer Ciudad México 2015, while the June 18 talk will focus on SWA South West Architecture of Qatar.

The Falcon Tower, Al Jassimiya Tower and Viva Bahriya 2 Tower projects by SWA South West Architecture offer an interesting point of view on the urban and architectural transformation of the emirate. The talk will focus in particular on Falcon Tower, an impressive project in which studio SWA turned to FMG Fabbrica Marmi e Graniti for porcelain external and internal wall coverings and floors for a 25 floor hotel in Doha’s West Bay district. The glass and steel structure has a ventilated façade made up of 1500 square metres of FMG Fabbrica Marmi e Graniti porcelain tiles with numerous special pieces developed in Iris Ceramica’s product development workshop, including theme tiles depicting the traditions and customs of Qatar.
